Hey, I’m Yina -
an excited product designer migrating from industrial design. Currently making things fun out of NYC.
Eyes wide open for full-time opportunities, 👀 to:
- solve real problems
- make people go 😃 or 🤣
Where I'm from
The 25 years of my life have been pretty equally split between China, Poland and the U.S. (你好! Czesc! Hi!). From a complete foreigner to being fluent with local ways of living, these adventures blossomed into an immense fascination with cultures and people.
How I started
My elementary school origami class, where I made paper boxes and cameras that turn into pants is where I first tasted the joy of creation and realized that objects can, you know, do things you want them to do. I went on for years doing craft projects and DIYs, later I found out about industrial design.
Making a shift
Problem solving is one of the things I value the most in design. The more I explored the world of industrial design, the more I realized the volume of problems that don't require a tangible solution. Not wanting to be limited by the 3D world, I've taken on the challenge of tackling real world problems with 2D solutions.
